Tournament rules
Draft: this page is a template pending review by qualified legal counsel and may change before launch.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These general rules apply to every GSPORTS tournament. Each tournament page may add specific rules, which take precedence. Organisers must also follow the game publisher's published esports and tournament policies.
1. Eligibility
- One account per person, verified by phone OTP. Players must meet the minimum age stated in the Terms and any age requirement of the game.
- Squads have exactly four players, each using their own BGMI account matching the UID registered on the platform.
- A player may appear on only one squad per tournament.
- Players must be located in a permitted region for the tournament. Participation where prohibited by local law is not allowed.
2. Registration and rosters
- Only the squad captain can register. Registration closes at the published deadline or when capacity is reached.
- Rosters are frozen after registration and locked at the roster lock time. Exceptional substitutions require written approval from officials.
- Officials may approve, reject or disqualify registrations that do not meet these rules.
3. Match rooms
- Room IDs and passwords are released in the app or website shortly before each match, only to approved squads assigned to that match.
- Never share room credentials. Unregistered players in the room may lead to the squad's disqualification.
- Join on time. Officials may start without late squads.
4. Fair play
- Prohibited: cheats, hacks, modified clients, macros, unauthorised emulators, teaming with other squads, stream sniping, exploiting bugs, account sharing and match fixing.
- Abusive behaviour towards players or officials is not tolerated.
- Violations can lead to point deductions, disqualification, forfeiture of prizes and account suspension.
5. Scoring and results
- Each tournament publishes its placement points, points per kill and tie-breakers.
- Officials enter and approve results. Only approved results count towards the leaderboard.
- Disputes must be raised through the platform within 30 minutes of the match ending, with evidence where possible. Officials' decisions after review are final.
6. Disconnections and remakes
Disconnections are generally not grounds for a remake. Officials may decide on a remake for server-wide issues at their discretion.
